Founded in 2002 as a platform, for local and national comedians, Phat Comedy Night is the longest running Stand up comedy night in Atlanta. Phat Comedy Night at Twisted Taco has been playing every week for (7) seven years and has a very diverse following. Phat Comedy has hosted events at several Atlanta venues: Andrews Upstairs, House Night Club, Midtown Tavern,Twisted Taco and Funny Farm. The event has become a well-known name in the Atlanta comedy scene Atlanta’s two premier comedy clubs - Punchline and Funny Farm - have recognized the success of Phat Comedy Night and used many of our comics on their weekend shows and have also partnered with Phat Comedy to cross promote many shows.

Atlanta Hispanic Heritage Month Macy's Foundation and Coca-Cola's style Macy’s Foundation, Rick Najera, State Farm, Staples and Coca-Cola to provide 300 tickets to Rick Najera’s one night only performance at the Rialto in conjunction with Latinos in Information Sciences and Technology Association honoring 2009’s Hispanic Heritage Month

Atlanta- Oct 06, 2009 – Macy’s Foundation, Rick Najera, State Farm, Staples, Coca-Cola, Phat Comedy and other sponsors have partnered with the Latinos in Information Sciences and Technology Association (LISTA) to provide 300 tickets to Najera’s comedy performance in honor of the 2009 Hispanic Heritage Month celebration in Atlanta.
IMany Atlanta’s elected officials, members of the diplomatic world, business and civic leaders of the multicultural communities of the great state of Georgia will be attending the event.
Najera’s theatrical performance will take place on Thursday, October 22, 2009 at 8:00 p.m at the Rialto Center of the Arts, 80 Forsyth Street, on the corner of Forsyth and Luckie Streets. A VIP reception will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online at http://ricknajerarialto.eventbrite.com/
Najera’s DADDY DIARIES, directed for stage by Gary Blumsack, is a comedic live stage play about a “Hollywood guy” becoming “daddy guy”, from a Latino perspective and with the voice of his Mexican Dad ringing in his head. “Daddy Diaries” is in English peppered with Spanish and lasts for about an hour and a half.
“On our Second Annual Hispanic Heritage event, we would like to give the gift of laughter to people who may not have the means of attending a theatrical event due to the economic climate. The Macy’s Foundation, State Farm, Staples Coca-Cola and many others have seen the importance of this mission and are helping us fulfill it,” said Jose Marquez, Founder and President of Latinos in Information Sciences and Technology Association.
The tickets will be given away at radio shows, comedy events, Atlanta consulates and at the offices of LISTA.
